buildingSMART International では毎年2回、Standard Summit が開催され、BIMの国際標準化への取り組みや最新動向について、情報交換が行われています（2018年フランス・日本、2019年中国・ドイツ）。 今年はコロナ禍の影響で従来のように一同に集まっての開催は断念し、 2020年10月26日～11月6日に Virtual Summit 形式で開催されました。世界中から850人以上が参加し、過去最高数となったプレゼンテーションはすべてオンデマンド資料として公開されています。
